The workspace tour
Find your projects, the Coordinator, shipped work, threads, the side panel, and settings.
A quick map of the app. Inside a thread you work across four surfaces: the sidebar, the thread list, the chat with its composer, and the side panel.
The sidebar
The header holds the logo, Give feedback, New project, your usage meter, and your account menu. Below it, Search opens the command palette, then three fixed rows: Conversations (DMs and the thread chats you take part in), Saved (messages you kept for later), and the Overseer. Projects and channels follow, grouped under their teams, with Direct messages at the bottom; unread people sort first. The funnel at the foot of the tree filters which projects are shown. The sidebar docks on the left at 1280px and wider (1800px and wider on a thread). Narrower than that, the ☰ button opens it as a drawer.
The project page
A project opens on its Coordinator, the project's assistant. The header links to the project's views:

The side panel on the project page is a Project overview: the threads that need you most, teammates at work, and usage.
A thread
The thread list. At 1024px and wider the project's threads stay in their own column beside the chat. New thread starts one (its menu can start a thread in the background); the search icon finds threads, and the filter picks whose threads you see and whether Doctor, Delegated, Completed, or Archived threads show. Threads group by last activity.
The chat and composer. The transcript is the record of your conversation with the lead agent: its progress, questions, plans, and results appear there, and a finished turn folds under Worked for…. Above the message box, the ship control shows the thread's state ("Ready to ship", "Agent working", "PR open", "Merged", "Live") and opens shipping options. The box itself lets you use voice input, attach files, add emoji, and choose a model. A message sent while the agent works is queued. See Ship it & pull requests and Plans & Build.
The side panel. The panel toggle at the right of the thread header opens a panel with three tabs:
- Overview opens first: the thread's summary and change counts, actions such as Try it yourself, Show me, Summarize, and Carmack review, a live preview of the app, and the threads started from this one.
- Extras holds Try it (the app preview with terminal, files, logs, restart, secrets, and desktop), the pull request's Options, Project knowledge this thread staged, and its Agents.
- Chat is the thread's team chat, shown when the thread has teammates — see Team chat.
At 1800px and wider the panel is a permanent split beside the chat; below that it collapses and you can resize it. On a phone it opens as a drawer from the right.
Project settings
Settings groups project settings by purpose. Some entries only appear when the project has a repository or you have permission to manage them.

Account settings
Open your account menu for settings that follow you across projects. The Account group contains Profile, Security, Teams, and Appearance; Agents contains Agents, Rules, and Skills; Connections contains Connections; and Billing contains Credits, Usage, Events, and Limits. Notifications
In Account settings → Profile → Notifications, choose whether to receive push notifications when a thread finishes or a team chat messages you. Thread-completion notifications cover threads you created or prompted in and skip the one you are watching.
Click Enable on this device and allow notifications in your browser. Your notification preferences follow your account, but each device needs its own permission and subscription; Turn off on this device disables that device only. If push is not configured on the server, the section says so instead of offering the controls.
